Navigation License

The fastest and easiest way to get started in boating. In a single 6-hour session (2h theory and 4h practice), you will obtain your license without an exam.

Atribuciones Principales:

  • Operation of recreational boats up to 6 meters in length.
  • Daytime navigation.
  • Maximum distance of 2 nautical miles from a port or place of shelter.
  • Operation of any type of jet ski with no power limit.

Documentación Necesaria:

  • ID card or passport.
  • A psychotechnical medical certificate, same as for a driving license (you can ask us when you formalize the registration, and we can recommend associated centers with advantageous prices for our students).

Basic Navigation Skipper (Motor & Radio)

The PNB allows you to expand your horizons and operate larger boats. To obtain it, you must pass an official theory exam and complete two mandatory practicals: 8 hours of motor and safety, and 4 hours of radio communications.

  • Operation of recreational boats up to 8 meters in length.
  • Daytime and nighttime navigation.
  • Maximum distance of 5 nautical miles from a port or place of shelter.
  • Operation of any type of jet ski with no power limit.

PNB Radio Communications

4-hour Short Range Certificate course (2h theory, 2h practice).

PNB Motor Practices

8 hours of motor-boating safety and navigation practices. Maneuvers, docking, anchoring, and safety.

Day Skipper (Motor & Radio)

The most popular nautical license in Spain, ideal for the vast majority of enthusiasts. Obtaining the PER requires passing a theory exam and completing the mandatory motor (16h) and radio (12h) practicals. From there, you can complement it with sailing and Balearic Islands extension practices.

Atribuciones Principales:

  • Operation of recreational boats up to 15 meters in length.
  • Navigation up to 12 miles from the coastline.
  • Navigation between islands within the Balearic and Canary archipelagos.
  • Optional: Extension to 24 meters and navigation to the Balearic Islands.
  • Optional: Endorsement for operating sailboats.

PER Radio Communications

12-hour Short Range Certificate course (4h theory, 8h practice).

PER Motor Practices

16 hours of motor-boating safety and navigation practices.

PER Sailing Endorsement

16 hours of practice to enable the operation of sailboats.

PER Balearic Islands Endorsement

24 hours of cruising navigation for attribution extension.

Yacht Skipper (PY)

For experienced sailors seeking greater challenges. 48-hour navigation trip, where the theoretical knowledge acquired in the course is applied, including night navigation, use of safety equipment, and route planning.

Atribuciones Principales:

Operating vessels up to 24 meters, navigation up to 150 miles from the coast.

Prerequisite: Must hold the PER certificate.

Yacht Captain (CY)

The highest recreational nautical license in Spain, allowing you to undertake oceanic voyages without limits. 48-hour uninterrupted voyage, with at least 8 hours of night navigation and a maximum of two breaks of up to 6 hours each

Atribuciones Principales:

Operating vessels up to 24 meters in length with no geographical limits.

Prerequisite: Must hold the Yacht Skipper (PY) certificate.
